Umrah from Singapore

Umrah packages from Singapore

Singaporeans can apply for the visa themselves, and every travel agent must hold an STB licence.

Umrah packages from Singapore usually last 10 to 13 days with flights, and two airlines fly non-stop from Changi to Jeddah. Singapore passport holders can also apply for the visa online without an agent.

Travel advisory: on 13 October 2026 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised Singaporeans to defer all travel to Saudi Arabia. On 14 October 2026 MUIS advised Umrah pilgrims to consider postponing their trips and asked Umrah agents to allow flexible postponement and rescheduling. Agency pages we checked on 29 October 2026 still listed November and December departures without any postponement notice, so ask your agent directly. Read the MUIS advisory and our travel update.

Umrah visa for Singapore citizens

Singapore passport holders are on Saudi Arabia's eVisa list and can apply online through Nusuk (umrah.nusuk.sa) without a travel agent. A September 2026 guide gives two options: the Nusuk Umrah e-visa at SAR 300 plus insurance, or the multiple-entry tourist eVisa at about SAR 535 including insurance, which also allows Umrah outside the Hajj season.

If you live in Singapore on another passport, there is no Singapore-specific route; it depends on your own nationality.

Whichever visa you use, book your Umrah permit in the Nusuk app, and get the meningitis ACYW vaccine at least 10 days before arrival.

Who may sell Umrah in Singapore

Anyone selling Umrah packages in Singapore must hold a Travel Agent Licence from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) under the Travel Agents Act 1975. Operating without one can bring a fine of up to S$25,000, up to two years in jail, or both. In 2023 STB secured the conviction of an individual for selling unlicensed Umrah packages: 56 people lost more than S$79,000.

MUIS does not accredit Umrah agents. It authorises travel agents for Haj only (nine for Haj 2026). AMTAS, the Association of Muslim Travel Agents Singapore, is the industry body MUIS works with.

Ask for the agent's STB licence number and check it on STB's TRUST portal before you pay. See how to check an operator.
