What Umrah costs depends most on where you start, how close your hotel is to the Haram, how many people share your room, whether flights are included and when you go. This page shows the package prices agencies were publishing in each country we cover, checked on 29 October 2026.

What changes the price
1. Hotels and how near they are to the Haram
Budget levels mostly reflect the hotels. In India, for example, published 15-day prices with flights ran from ₹78,500 to ₹1,00,000 in economy, against ₹1,20,990 to ₹1,74,990 for premium packages with hotels nearer the Haram. Ask every operator for both hotel names and the walking distance.
2. Room sharing
Most headline prices assume four to a room, sometimes five. Fewer people per room costs more per person: one Hyderabad departure was ₹1,07,000 for four or five to a room and ₹1,32,000 for two, and US groups typically add US$200 to US$500 for a double.
3. Flights
Flights are a big share of the total. Bangladesh's Hajj agencies association puts airfare at about 40 to 50% of the cost. Land-only prices leave them out: one Indian agency estimates return flights at ₹45,000 to ₹50,000 on top of its land-only packages, and one Australian agency estimates A$2,600 to A$3,200. Cities with no non-stop flight usually mean a longer journey and sometimes a domestic flight first.
4. Season
Ramadan and school holidays cost the most. The same Ontario agency published C$2,495 for a late-November trip and C$3,695 for Ramadan 2027. A Nigerian seller published about ₦2.87 million for 10 days from Lagos in November and ₦3.5 million for 10 days in Ramadan. In the US, Christmas and New Year departures sit at the top of the range. 5. Extras that are not in the headline price
- Taxes in India: a 2% TCS on overseas packages since 1 April 2026, plus GST, sometimes shown separately.
- Visa fees: the lowest UAE bus packages leave out the visa, quoted at AED 500. One UK group charges foreign-passport holders £150 more.
- Meals and transfers: some packages exclude meals; one London package excludes airport transfers.
- Getting to the airport: pilgrims from Pune, Srinagar or Patna often start with travel to another city.
How to compare two quotes
- Same number of nights, split the same way between Makkah and Madinah.
- Same room sharing.
- Both with flights, with the airline and flight numbers named.
- Taxes, visa and transfers included or listed.
- Written cancellation and refund terms, which matter more than ever after the October 2026 flight disruption.

Why is Umrah so much more expensive in Ramadan?
Demand is highest, especially in the last ten nights. One Canadian agency's Ramadan 2027 price was C$1,200 more than its November price.
Is a land-only package a better deal?
Not necessarily. Land-only prices leave out flights, which can be close to half the cost. Compare totals with flights included.
