Mumbai is one of only two Indian cities, with Hyderabad, that has a scheduled non-stop flight to Madinah as well as to Jeddah. That means a group can land in Madinah, spend its first days at the Prophet's Mosque, travel on to Makkah and fly home from Jeddah, with no change of plane in India or the Gulf.

Three airlines fly non-stop from Mumbai to Jeddah in the winter 2026 schedule, so Mumbai packages usually name the airline. Pilgrims from Pune and much of western Maharashtra fly from here too, because Pune has no Saudi flights.

The Haj Committee of India has its head office at Haj House on Palton Road, and a new Haj House is planned at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai. The Haj Committee runs the government Hajj scheme, not Umrah.

Flights from Mumbai

In the winter 2026 schedule, which began on 25 October, IndiGo and Akasa Air fly Mumbai to Jeddah daily (Akasa adds a Sunday flight) and Saudia flies nine times a week. IndiGo also flies Mumbai to Madinah daily, about 5 hours 35 minutes. An Air India Mumbai to Jeddah schedule ended before 25 October.

Flights update, 29 October 2026: after attacks on Saudi airports in October, Indian airlines suspended their Saudi flights. IndiGo cancelled Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam and Riyadh flights until 31 October. Air India and Air India Express suspended Jeddah until 31 October and Riyadh and Dammam until 7 November. Yes. IndiGo has a daily non-stop from Mumbai to Madinah in the winter 2026 schedule. IndiGo cancelled its Saudi flights, Madinah included, until 31 October 2026, so check that it is operating before you book.

How much is a 15-day Umrah package from Mumbai?

On 29 October 2026, Mumbai packages with flights were published from ₹85,990 to ₹1,00,000 in economy and ₹1,20,000 to ₹1,25,000 for deluxe November departures, four or five to a room. Ask whether GST and TCS are included.

I live in Pune. Should I look at Mumbai packages?
